Sir Keir Starmer plans to press supporting countries to provide Ukraine with further extended-range weaponry to strike Moscow's positions during talks in the UK capital on this Friday.

Sir Keir is set to welcome Ukraine's leader Zelensky alongside what's known as "group of committed partners", comprising more than 20 of supporting nations who have agreed to provide Kyiv security guarantees once a ceasefire is brokered.

The Ukrainian leader has been pleading for an extended period for more long-range weapons from the West, a move that Moscow has warned would intensify the hostilities.

The Ukrainian president is coming from the EU capital, where he conferred with EU leaders on Thursday seeking financial support.

"The only person participating in this conflict who does not want to end the war is the Russian leader," Sir Keir remarked.

Britain's leader will press leaders to increase the provision of advanced missile technology following a productive operation on a manufacturing site in Bryansk, Russia, using British-supplied advanced weaponry.
